In June 2005, Laura completed on the re-sale of Southampton. She has quickly established herself a reputation for first class professional pet care. Based in Eastleigh, Laura along with the help of her dedicated team of carers are proud to provide a service that is second to none. On-going pet welfare training, working closely with the local Police, Community Groups and vets has helped her loving pet care team to provide a friendly, flexible, professional and personally tailored service, that is now getting booked up to 2 years in advance. They have over 2000 happy repeat clients and are recommended by the area’s leading vets, dog trainers, behaviorists, pet shops and local community services
Laura lives with her Springer spaniel, Shadow and grew up around cats, hamsters, birds, rats, ferrets and pond fish. Laura experienced a year of working for Petpals before taking over and previously worked in retail management for 7 years. Working with animals has always been Laura’s dream.
Laura is helped on a full time basis by 3 part-time staff. The team are expanding all the time due to such high demand of the service and all staff members are dedicated animal lovers, fully trained, insured and police checked.
Laura plans to continue her studies in pet behaviour, she also worked closely with the Dog Whisperer and continues to work alongside the Blue Cross and other pet welfare charities. Her passion for pets has included voluntary work, fund raising, BBC Radio interviews and work with problem dogs which has been published in Dogs Today.
Knowing how much pets are loved by their owners we take great care in understanding your pet’s routine and environment. At Petpals we are fully trained, insured. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.
Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.
We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!
Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.
Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.
Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.
Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.
Pet food & accessories
In addition to cats and dogs we are able to look after small pets such as rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, birds, fish and exotics. We can supply all leading brands of pet food delivered to your door. We can also administer medication and help with ongoing training needs.
