In February 2005, Maureen & Russell Taylor launched their Petpals - Aberdeen business providing professional pet and home care services. They run the business from Ellon in the North East of Scotland and cover the area of Aberdeen City and the landward towns and villages to the north and west of Aberdeen.
Having lived in Ellon for almost 30 years, Maureen and Russell offer trained, insured and professional pet care services, locally, at reasonable prices. Total customer satisfaction and contented, happy pets are their prime business objective. Core services provided are Small Pet Home Visits, Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking (Occasional & Regular).
Maureen was brought up and spent the first 16 years of her life on a small farming croft in the Orkney Islands surrounded by dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, horses, ducks and hens. Maureen has never lost her love of animals and the outdoors. After 16 years in a post with global managerial responsibilities in the IT industry, Maureen now relishes combining her love of pets and animals with self-employment. Russell took early retirement from his previous post, as a Personnel Manager. He is an Aberdonian with an in-depth knowledge of the customs, culture and geography of the north east of Scotland. Another keen pet lover, Russell has, in his time, kept and cared for mice, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, fish, show pigeons, cats and dogs.
At Petpals we are fully trained, insured. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Our pet sitting and pet boarding services include, dog sitting, dog walking, dog boarding, home visits for cats and small pets, puppy care, elderly dog care, home visits for dogs, home sitting, cat sitting and a pet taxi and pet to vet service.
Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.
Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.
We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!
Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.
Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.
Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.
Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.
